Among today’s hardwood flooring artists, David Marzalek, owner of DM Hardwood Designs in Southern California, stands apart with his diverse and unique inlays, floor designs, and emphasis on perfection.   DM Hardwood Designs and the clients who own the inlays and custom floors share a common regard for the quality detail and innovative style of each unique work.

Dave’s talent for creating original artwork is a result of twenty-one years of experience combined with his creative imagination.   Dave has won the attention of the entire industry with his heartfelt wilderness designs. The National Wood Flooring Association honored DM Hardwood Designs with not one, but 15, National-Floor-of-the-Year Awards for excellence in craftsmanship and artistic creativity.   Dave has been licensed with the California Contractors State  License Board for over 29 years and has received an extensive collection of letters of recommendation from his clients.

To ensure the quality and longevity of each commission, DM Hardwood Designs  hand draws blueprints and creates every inlay using only the finest exotic and domestic woods, composites, and metals.  All custom inlay designs  are crafted with woods hand cut by scroll saws then glued and mounted on birch backing with waterproof urethane adhesive to ensure that the finished product will  maintain its beauty and integrity for a lifetime.
